The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community series hosts Ed Sedarbaum, founder of Rainbow Seniors, for "Straight Answers to Gay Questions."  Rainbow Seniors is an organization that fosters a community of LGBTQ seniors in the Berkshires.  They provide activities and services in North, Central, and South County in safe and secure spaces where everyone’s privacy will be respected.

In this program, Sedarbaum will trace the social and emotional history of LGBTQ people who were born in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s and share with us some stories that illuminate some of the consequences of this difficult time.

Sedarbaum hopes the audience will feel free enough to ask whatever questions are on their minds.  "You can't offend me, no matter what you ask," says Sedarbaum, "so just go for it."

This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
