The Jewish Federation Connecting with Community program welcomes Maggie Bittman, therapist, as she leads and facilitates a group discussion about "Intergenerational: The Process of Aging."  This is an opportunity to be part of a group dialogue.

Explaining her outlook and approach, Bittman says "Aging begins at birth.  As we age, exist and live our lives, we are confronted with 4 existential truths: we search to find meaning and purpose; face mortality; experience aloneness; and engage our free will.  This is a lifelong process.  At each stage of life we return to these truths and with the wisdom that comes with aging."

Within the context, participants engage in conversation to discuss, share and offer support.

This free program is part of the Federation’s Connecting With Community Series and will be followed by a kosher hot lunch. Lunch is a $2 suggested donation for adults over 60 years of age or $7 for all others. Advance reservations are required for lunch and can be made by calling (413) 442-2200 before 9 a.m. on the day of the program.
