Israel on Campus Discussion with the David Project

The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will sponsor an “Israel on Campus” program for Jewish teens. The program, facilitated by a campus team from The David Project, will explore the current Israel environment on college campuses and identify strategies being used to build positive discourse and advocacy for Israel.

The David Project, which was recently recognized as one of the top 50 innovative Jewish organizations in America, positively shapes campus opinion on Israel by educating, training, and empowering students to be thoughtful, strategic and persuasive advocates. Their approach emphasizes building relationships with diverse communities on campus and helping students to use their Israel experience and connections to relate to their peers. The David Project also educates and prepares hundreds of college students each year to assume leadership roles and bring Israel programs and events to their college campuses.

The program, which will take place at Temple Anshe Amunim, 26 Broad Street in Pittsfield, is free and open to all Jewish high school students in 10th, 11th and 12th grade.  A light dairy dinner will be served and resource materials will be distributed. To RSVP please contact Dara Kaufman at 413-442-4360 ext. 12 or dara.kaufman@verizon.net.
