The Jewish Federation of the Berkshires will host Knosh & Knowledge: "From Nazi Germany to Lenox, MA: Windsor Mountain School, A Beloved Berkshire Institution" with local author Roselle Kline Chartock.  Chartock's presentation will include a brief history of the school and its founders, Drs. Max and Gertrud Bondy.

The many ways that Windsor Mountain School was ahead of its time will be discussed as will the reasons why families like the Belafontes, Poitiers, and Campanellas were attracted to the school.  In addition, Chartock will shed light on why dozens of former students told her - with great emotion - that "Windsor Mountain saved my life."  Chartock, whose book includes a forward by former Governor Deval Patrick, will sign copies of her book following the question and answer session.  Chartock is Professor Emerita of Education at MCLA in North Adams.  After 45 years of teaching on all levels, she is now an artist and writer and lives with her family in Great Barrington.

$11 includes program and seasonal farm fresh buffet lunch by Freund Farm Market and Bakery.  Program only is $5.  Advanced lunch reservations required.
