Temple Anshe Amunim to Welcome Tu BiShvat
With a Family -Friendly Shabbat Service and Dinner on Friday, Febuary 7, 2020, at 5:30 p.m.

PITTSFIELD – Temple Anshe Amunim, 26 Broad Street, invites the community to celebrate Tu BiShvat, the New Year of Trees, on Friday, Febuary 7, 2020, beginning at 5:30 PM. Tu BiShvat, is the fifteenth day of the Hebrew month of Shevat, and welcomes the emergence of spring. Jews mark the holiday with a traditional Seder, similar to a Passover Seder, and with the planting of trees to honor or remember loved ones.
The evening will begin with Shabbat Shira, the Sabbath of Song, a family-friendly service filled with music. We will continue the celebration, by featuring a plant-based Seder, to enjoy the symbolic fruits of our earth linked to TuBishvat, and to honor the enduring connections between Judaism and our environment. A dairy dinner will follow.
This event is open to all. The cost for the Seder and dinner is: $8 per person for temple members, maximum $25 per family; and for not-yet-members, $12 per person, with a maximum of $36 per family. Reservations for the Seder and dinner are required by January 31, 2020. To register, contact the Temple Office at (413) 442-5910, or TempleOffice@AnsheAmunim.org .
